一、培训简介
时间：2016年7月10-21日
地点：上海交通大学国际与公共事务学院（徐汇校区新建楼2006报告厅）
培训内容主要是实验性研究方法（experimental research）和定性/混合研究方法（qualitative and mixed methods）。培训班邀请到国外知名专家Rebecca Morton、Cameron Thies、John Kennedy、Ronald 。
二、培训专家
Rebecca Morton，她是国际著名的实验性方法研究专家，，专著包括Experimental Political Science and the Study of Causality: From Nature to the Lab（剑桥大学出版社，2010）。，如American Political Science Review, American Economic Review, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Law and Economics, Journal of Politics, and Review of Economic Studies。Morton教授的主要授课内容包括实验性研究方法和Z-Tree电脑语言程序。
Cameron Thies、教授，，他目前担任Political Science Research and Methods 期刊主编，：American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, the British Journal of Political Science, World Politics, International Studies Quarterly, the European Journal of International Relations, and Comparative Political Studies, 。他授课的主要内容包括：1. Justifying Case Study Research for Causal Explanation；2. Case Selection；3. Case Studies: Method of Structured Focused Comparison；4. Cross-Case Comparative Methods；5. Within-Case Methods of Causal Inference: Congruence Method；6. Within-Case Methods of Causal Inference: Process Tracing；7. Counterfactuals and Historical Analysis；8. Mixed Methods。
 John Kennedy，常年在中国从事田野调查，在田野调查方面有着丰富的实践经验。
Ronald ，，因格哈特教授是美国人文与科学院院士，他也是《世界价值观调查》（World Values Survey）的创始人和首任主席。他发表的名著包括The Silent Revolution 、Culture Shift in Advanced Industrial Society、Modernization and Postmodernization（由普林斯顿大学出版社分别在1977年、1990和1997年出版）。他出版的书还包括：The Rising Tide: Gender Equality and Cultural Change Around the World 、Sacred and Secular: Religion and Politics Worldwide和Cosmopolitan Communications: Cultural Diversity in a Globalized World （分别由剑桥大学出版社在2003年、2005年和2009年出版）。
培训教授将在讲授研究方法的基础上同学员分享调查过程中可能遇到的问题及其应对方法。授课语言为英文。所有学员都将被受邀参加上海交通大学国际与公共事务学院于7月15-16日举办的高水平的实证研究中国社会国际研讨会（Empirical Study of Chinese Politics and Society），此次研讨会邀请有30位中外学者参加，是一次学习如何用社会科学方法研究中国问题的良机。

7月15-16日（全天）：参加上海交通大学国际与公共事务学院举办的“实证研究中国社会国际研讨会”
7月15-16日晚上：在中国开展田野调查，John
7月17-20日（全天）：定性研究方法，Cameron ，
7月21日上午：Ronald : Cultural Change: Reshaping Human Motivations and Society
7月21日下午：结营仪式
四、培训对象
、行政管理、社会学、经济学、管理学和法学等相关社会学科的中青年教师、博士生和硕士生。
五、培训费用

培训费每人2000人民币，膳宿差旅请自理，如有需要可以协助安排交大闵行校区的住宿，具体请咨询021-62933096。
