6月8日，适逢Swing Kids' Party一周年，Downtown Swing有幸请到Soochan Lee老师和他的搭档Young Kang来上海，周五晚上参加我们Swing Kids' Party一周年舞会，在舞会期间会带来精彩的表演，大家不要错过啦！
6月9日和10日，他们为我们带来周末两天的Lindy hop大师课。作为韩国最顶级的摇摆舞舞者以及摇摆舞大师，Soochan Lee 一直是职业的摇摆舞舞者和老师，在韩国培养了大量优秀的舞者。而SooChan老师在Lindy hop 世界各大顶级比赛中拿到了无数的奖项和名次，也被世界各大活动和比赛邀请为评委和老师。
Soochan也曾经被邀请到世界最著名的摇摆舞训练营Herrang Dance Camp 作为摇摆舞老师。我们感到很幸运能够邀请到这位世界级的摇摆舞大师为我们带来lindy hop workshop.
We feel so lucky that we are able to invite Soochan Lee and Young Kang to Shanghai to bring us a lindy hop workshop on June 9th and 10th. As it is known to all, that there are a lot of advance lindy hop dancers in Korea but among them, the best of the best, is Soochan Lee. As a professional swing teacher and dancer, Soochan Lee has trained a lot of outstanding swing dancers in Korea and he himself has also won countless swing dance prize all over the world. He is always invited as international instructor and judge on some major swing dance camp or event around the world. Soochan was also invited as the instructor by Herrang Dance Camp, which is one of the most famous swing dance camp in the world. This time, Soochan and his wife also his partner Young Kang will come to Shanghai give us lindy hop workshops. Young Kang is also a very high level swing dancer and teacher who is also invited as swing teacher and judge by swing events around the world. Please grab the chance to learn from these great dancers and teachers.

Soochan Lee
Soochan从1991年开始接触舞蹈，街舞是他最早开始学的舞蹈。从2002年开始，他开始渐渐转向摇摆舞。 2004年，他成为摇摆舞老师，他是韩国摇摆舞界的先驱。2005年，他成为职业摇摆舞舞者，他所有的时间和精力都用在提高自己的舞技，以及在韩国以及世界各地推广摇摆舞。
Soochan老师不但在世界各大活动中被邀请为老师，也参加了很多的世界著名摇摆舞比赛，并且拿到了非常非常多的奖项。2009年他得到了KLHC的第一名。 2014年，他在Hellzapoppin 比赛中拿了第一名(要知道参加Hellzapopin比赛的都是世界摇摆舞大师)。
2014年他成为韩国第一个在瑞典Herrang Dance Camp 教课的老师。他所带来的舞蹈团Night and Day在韩国以及世界摇摆舞比赛中赢得不少奖项。

Soochan Lee
Soochan’s dancing career began with street dance in 1991 before transitioning to swing dance in 2002. He began his career as an instructor in 2004, and is well-known in Korea’s many dance communities as one of the forerunners of the swing dance scene. In 2005, he became a professional swing dancer, devoting all of his time and energy to honing his skills and promoting dance in Korea and abroad.? Since becoming a professional dancer, he has given countless lessons and made substantial contributions to the growth and development of swing dance.
Since 2008 he has been invited to dance and teach around the world, in many different cities and countries across 5 continents. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has also competed in and won many different national and internationally recognized competitions starting in 2009 with the “Korea Swing Festival”. He went on to win first place in the Korean Lindy Hop Championships during that same year. In 2014, he blew crowds away by winning the “Hellzapoppin Competition” organized to celebrate Frankie Manning’s centennial. In 2014 he added another “first” to his list by being the first Korean dance teacher at Herrang Dance Camp, an internationally renowned swing dance camp.
He has led Night and Day, a swing dance performing team, since 2011. In addition to hosting a variety of performances and events, Night and Day has won several dance competitions both at home and abroad. They are also the first swing dance performing team in Korea to host a full theater performance.
In 2017, he established the Triple Crown Swing Dance Academy to bring swing dance to a wider audience. The academy is located in Seoul, Korea. At present, he is actively engaged as a dancer, instructor, and judge, both nationally and internationally, and working to promote swing dance both domestically and internationally.
Young Kang
Young Kang 从2000开始学习爵士舞，在2005年开始学习摇摆舞。从2007年开始，她成为摇摆舞老师。她曾经学习过各种舞蹈，包括芭蕾，踢踏舞以及肚皮舞，包括瑜伽练习。
她在世界各地的摇摆舞大赛中得到过名次，包括PSSF, KLHC, ILHC, NJC. 2015年开始，Youngkang成为全职的摇摆舞老师，并且在韩国以及世界各大摇摆舞活动和比赛中担任老师和裁判。
Young Kang
Young began her dancing career as a jazz dancer in 2000 before making the switch to swing in 2005. Since then, she has continued to enhance her dance education through a variety of styles of dance including ballet, tap, and belly dance, and has taken up yoga. In 2007, she made her debut as a swing dance instructor.
In addition to teaching, Young has competed in and won many different competitions starting with the PSSF in 2009 and including the Korean Lindy Hop Championships (KLHC), International Lindy Hop Championships (ILHC), and the NJC.
Young has joined various performing teams since 2006, most notably as the Head Choreagrapher and Coordinator for Night and Day, a competitive swing dance performance team, since 2011.
Since 2008, she has participated in and choreographed many performances and events including the Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden, the ULHS, Camp Hollywood, the ESDC, Lindy Focus, and Camp Jitterbug. Since becoming a professional swing dancer in 2015, she has been working as a dancer, instructor, and judge, actively promoting and sharing events and many other projects in various dance communities both in Korea and overseas.

Downtown Swing is a swing dance organization located in Shanghai and is co-founded by Stan and Lucy. We are devoted to the promotion of swing dance and vintage culture. We have our regular weekly swing dance party - Swing Kids Party every Tuesday and Friday and also we have swing dance regular class with our level system. Also we organize other workshop and swing dance activity and event as well. Welcome to join Downtown Swing.
